Sweet Ballerina

When I saw this darling ballerina I immediately started thinking about the card design and the colors I would use. This Digi Stamp is from digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com and the name of it is Keisha's Curtain Call. However, I've secretly changed her name to Janelle. You ask why? Well, I have two wonderful and handsome sons but no little girl. My friends and co-workers call me "Diva" because I'm such a prissy girlie girl. So with that being said I made this card to reflect my imaginary daughter, Janelle and her "Diva-ness".

Items used were K&Company, Stampin' Up and Bazzill cardstock. There are many layers of cardstock used. I've layered the tutu and trimmed it with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Her tiara has also been popped along with the roses. All of the coloring has been done by hand using watercolors.

The front of the card is adorned with a simple blue ribbon. The cuttlebug was used to accent the cardstock along with dazzling diamonds.

My 1st Digi Stamp

"Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my soul to keep, if something should happen before I wake I pray the Lord my soul to take." I will never forget that prayer which I said every night before my sis and I went to sleep. I taught my son's that same prayer.

When I saw this digi stamp from digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com it brought back happy memories of my childhood and I knew I had to get it. I had a blast making this card..thank you Maurie Manning!!

I have used many layers of DP along with a layer of mulberry paper. The teddy bear has been popped to make it 3D. The entire image has been handpainted with watercolors. The card also has been embellished with satin ribbon and purple dewdrops. The inside of the card is completed with matching satin ribbon as well. I've added the sentiment "dreams" which we all of any age can do.

I wanted to keep the card simple as to not take away from the beautiful artwork of the stamp.

Beautiful Butterfly....

I thought I would post this card instead of just leaving it in my collection. I had worked on it for a sketch challenge but didn't post it in enough time so here it is. When I began this card I worked on the inside first and it inspired me for the front. Enjoy the flutter of the beautiful butterfly.

Included in the making of this card I used Prima flowers, brads, rhinestone embellishments, Bazzill and Stampin' Up cardstock. I've layered the cardstock, embossed and watercolored the butterfly.

It looks like the butterfly is going to fly right off the paper.

I left the inside of the card blank so that it didn't disturb the flow. There is a space to the left to leave a message.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #11

I'm back for another MMSC. I thought I would try my hand at a Halloween card and I think it turned out quite well. I really had fun making this 2-in1 card.

As you can see I have embossed the spiders and popped twice to give them an extra scary 3D effect. They are placed on top of a layered, removable magnet to hang on your refrigerator.

On the back is a place to write a message to the recipient of this creepy crawler card.

The inside also has a place to write a message. Be careful because another spider is hiding out to scare you.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #6

I'm finally done!! I decided to make a wedding card for this sketch. I used the adorable bride from the Stampin' Up Happily Ever After set. The cardstock used is from Bazzill and Stampin' Up.

The wedding dress has been embellished with Dazzling Diamonds. Attached to the card is the bride and groom's wedding rings. The rings have been created by hand with craft wire, and as a finishing touch the bride's ring has a dazzling solitare diamond.

The inside is elegant yet simple. The saying says, "Wishing you love and laughter...forever after!"

My 1st Sketch Challenge...So much fun!!!

Here's my entry for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #5. This is my first challenge and I had a fun time making this creation. I hope you all enjoy my version of the MMSC.
I have used red and black Bazzill and Me & My Big Ideas cardstock.

Prima flowers and leaves have adorned the card. The other embellishments are from Recollection.


The dragonfly has been embossed and layered for a 3D effect. Under the dragonfly I have embossed the frame several times to give it a "crackle" effect. Dazzling Diamonds have been used for extra sparkle.
